Nice looking blog!
Did you see the Mark Derr attack on Millan in the New York Times.
In my opinion, Derr is working from a philosophy base, not a practical dog-training base.
See my August 31 post at >> http://terriermandotcom.blogspot.com for a longer analysis of where Derr is wrong, where Millan is right, and why the audience (National Geographic/PBS/Animal Planet) matters quite a lot.

As with most of Cesars opposition, Mark Derr does not seem to understand the difference between Rehabilitation and Training; Discipline and punishment or Dominance and calm assertiveness.
Watching Cesars show is very enlightening and entertaining, but the book really delves into what to do, why and how to do it much more than you can get from just watching the show. I highly recommend it to anyone.
I have watched many of his shows over and over and I have never seen him abuse an animal and I have seen him give love and affection frequently.
